I’m aware that this is completely different from everything I normally post! A little while back I helped an artist and new found friend, Hannah Gardiner, in making this video. It’s a concept that she’s been wanting to create for a while. The concept is entirely hers, I just helped make it a reality. As a result I don’t feel qualified to comment any further than that (well, other than to say that it was incredibly messy and I got covered in eggs without even being the performer haha). Sorry, once again, for the lack of updates on this blog. I’ve posted the odd thing over on my main blog but it’s been hard to feel creative whilst I’ve been in the middle of moving house and had all of my things in boxes! Finally feeling more settled though so hopefully that will change soon.

Finally come to a decision about how I’m going to use each of my blogs. This blog, which started as a place to showcase my adventures with Keri Smith’s books, will now be a place for me to post my personal work, experiments, sketchbooks, behind the scenes insights, etc. - all the things that feel out of place on my main blog, which I will be cleaning up a little and keeping for my more portfolio/commercial work. Boring snapshots of my face etc. will remain over on my personal (inspiration/re-blogging) tumblr.

I remember ages ago reading that you also do photo manipulations, will yu ever post any?!

Wow, that must of been a long time ago! I used to do a lot of photo manipulations (and it’s in fact what ended up making me pursue photography as a career) but I haven’t done one in years for various reasons. The closest I get these days is post-production on my photographs but I don’t really do anything too creative anymore, mostly due to time. Maybe I’ll pick it up again one day :)

Pencil on A3~ish paper.

Started this absolutely ages ago but never got around to finishing it. Maybe I will someday :) Sorry for the crappy photo of it, the piece looks totally different in person (and a lot tidier aha). It’s based on a stock photo from DeviantART that I printed out ages ago (it was definitely stock), if anyone remembers the photographer please let me know as I’ve since lost the print out and would love to give credit for the reference photo.

Hey, firstly let me say sorry for the seriously late answer, I’ve neglected this journal a little lately but I hope that’s going to change now that I’m getting back on my feet :) Secondly, thank you so much! You’re a sweetheart anon! ♥

I use a mixture of all sorts of materials, whatever I can get my hands on really! I don’t really use any particular crayons, just a mish mash of things I’ve collected over the years. When it comes to marker pens I use Montana, Copic, Posca, Letraset, Prismacolour, and whatever else I happen to have lying around. I just use what works, whether kids felt tips or expensive art pens :)

Hi readers, I just wanted to quickly apologise for the lack of recent updates. Before I go on, this is a modified (to fit this blog) version of the entry I posted over on my main blog recently. Those of you who follow me elsewhere will likely be aware of the situation so if that’s the case then feel free to skip by this entry.

Although this blog has been dead for a while I plan on resurrecting it and posting all kinds of my arty experiments, not just those directly prompted by Keri Smith’s books. Things like my art journal, sketchbook pages, etc. that don’t really fit over on my main blog.

I’ve been unable to really shoot, or do anything much, for a while due to a back injury that has prevented me from being able to walk some days and come with a strict warning from my chiropractor not to lift anything, at least until receiving my MRI scan results. Thankfully I’ve been starting to feel better, my back has been healing and I’m well on the road to recovery. The MRI scan has also been a huge relief as I’ve found that I don’t have anything too serious to worry about.

Whilst I’ve been ill I’ve been trying to stay productive by planning shoots, drawing, painting, etc. so I’ll try and upload some things over the next few days but now that I’m starting to get back on my feet I’m pretty hectic trying to catch up on everything I’ve got behind on also.

I also wanted to quickly mention that I am no longer using what was previously my personal blog (ohzinzi.tumblr.com) as I have merged my personal posts with my inspiration archive to make things easier to maintain.

Big thanks to everyone who has continued to support my work whist I’ve been gone, hope to have something new to show you all soon! xx
